Not had any in-game action shots in a while, so here we go.

1100pts of Necrons, about to lose to some Craftworld Eldar!

Painting progress! I seem to be back on to painting my Dark Elves, despite having not used them in months. I finished the last 5 Warriors to bring the unit up to 50. Now need to do 30 shields and all 50 bases to get the unit done.

After that I just have to do pretty much all the rest of the army!

Some Dark Elves for Miniature Monday. Finished one group of 5, then started on another 5. Once this last group is done I’ll have all 50 spearmen painted, just need shields and bases.

Making me realise how long it’s been since I played Fantasy though!

At Conpulsion today in Edinburgh, playing some Mobile Frame Zero. It’s a fun Lego wargame, and as your mechs take damage you just break pieces off, cos its Lego!

Been working on my second Ghost Ark recently, here’s a photo of the pair of them for Miniature Monday. Need to finish a bit more gold on the second one, do the blue glaze on the drivers’ shoulders on both and decide if there’s anywhere else to add the blue glaze.

I’ve actually been back to using my Arks, my current list for Conflict Scotland in July includes them so figured it was time to get them ready for the table. They’ve been playing well so far, and respawning Warriors on nearby squads seems to take lots of people by surprise.

Had a productive few days on the hobby front. Finally got around to doing the last of my Warriors, bringing me up to 60. Looking forward to glancing some tanks with all that Gauss!

I also painted Imotekh, he’s been sitting in my case looking lonely as the only one of my Overlords unpainted. So now I have Imotekh, Trazyn and two standard Overlords.

Which actually means I’m really close to finishing all 5,000pts of Necrons that I own! I think I only need to base 10 Deathmarks and paint 2 Ghost Arks and I’ll have the lot done. Though I’m sure I’ll buy more before that happens. I’m already thinking of another Annihilation Barge, more Wraiths and some Spyders.

Realised I’d forgotten to post any pictures from Strikedown last weekend!

22 players showed up, so we were able to get 12 teams on the go (the two organisers played solo to make up numbers).

A convincing first place went to Tyranids & Grey Knights (pictured above), including an impressive score of 12vp to 0vp in game 2. Second was dual Dark Angels and my team-mate and I managed to get third place with dual Necrons.

Apparently I also managed to impress people with my awesome drybrushing skills and got a (distant) third place in the army painting votes. First by a convincing margin went to Ultramarines (pictured above) and second to Sisters of Battle (no picture, mostly because I didn’t get a photo of the great freehand painting on the front of one of the tanks).

It was a lot  of fun, and there was talk of running these events every 3 months or so. I certainly hope so!
