Had a 3v3 game of 40k tonight, and I grabbed a few photos. Took a couple of hours just to get through 2 turns, but those turns were messy! Chaos Marines, Daemons and my Necrons took on Tau, Space Wolves and Tyranids and we managed to get them so close to tabled by the end of turn 2 we called it there.

Finishing moment of the game was when the Brass Scorpion assaulted the Baneblade and tore it apart causing a massive explosion.

Broke apart my Lego Star Wars kits yesterday to try making some dudes for Mobile Frame Zero, a Lego mecha wargame. Turned out not to have bits to make decent walkers, but I did end up making these three tanks instead. All with bonus front armour, two with dual mid-range weapons and spotting gear and the last one with double artillery. Could really do with lots more Lego though!

Painting progress! I seem to be back on to painting my Dark Elves, despite having not used them in months. I finished the last 5 Warriors to bring the unit up to 50. Now need to do 30 shields and all 50 bases to get the unit done.

After that I just have to do pretty much all the rest of the army!

Some Dark Elves for Miniature Monday. Finished one group of 5, then started on another 5. Once this last group is done I’ll have all 50 spearmen painted, just need shields and bases.

Making me realise how long it’s been since I played Fantasy though!

At Conpulsion today in Edinburgh, playing some Mobile Frame Zero. It’s a fun Lego wargame, and as your mechs take damage you just break pieces off, cos its Lego!

Been working on my second Ghost Ark recently, here’s a photo of the pair of them for Miniature Monday. Need to finish a bit more gold on the second one, do the blue glaze on the drivers’ shoulders on both and decide if there’s anywhere else to add the blue glaze.

I’ve actually been back to using my Arks, my current list for Conflict Scotland in July includes them so figured it was time to get them ready for the table. They’ve been playing well so far, and respawning Warriors on nearby squads seems to take lots of people by surprise.
