Guardians and Fire Warriors hold the objective and the defence line.

Battlesuits and Warp Spiders push up the flank

Dead Blood Angels. He was a bit unimpressed when I cast Misfortune on his Assault Marines and we shot everything at them.

Closing in on the Long Fangs

Surrounding the Longfangs.

Brought my Eldar back out Tuesday night, and teamed up with Tau against three Space Marine players in a game of Emperor’s Will.

Night Fighting slowed things down turn one, but some good shooting on a Misfortuned squad of Blood Angels in turn 2 gave us plenty of breathing room from then on to pick off remaining threats while our reserves pushed up the left flank cleaning up any stragglers there. We over-extended slightly at the end, with my Warp Spiders caught out by the Long Fangs and my Jetbikes assaulted by the last few Space Wolves from their main squad as well as a bunch of Dark Angels, but it was too late for them to turn it around and we were able to gun down the last of the Long Fangs while the Jetbikes managed to keep them locked in combat.

I think the final score was in the region of 8-1 in our favour, so a solid result. I’m on something of a “voyage of rediscovery” with my Eldar, I didn’t enjoy them hugely when the new codex came out but had a much better feel for them this game and have plans to use them more in the near future.

I’ve still got a few units in need of painting and almost everything else needs tidied up a bit, so I’ve got no shortage of painting I should be doing from now on.
